• Question: What about european butterflies interrests you?

      Its their diversity – there are over 450 different butterfly species throughout Europe, some only found in a single small area. Only about 52 are found in the UK – though there are some fantastic ones like the swallowtail and purple emperor.

    Hi Grace. I don’t do anything at half measure so I’m passionate about anything I do. I’m lucky that I don’t regard my actual job as work anyway – just a hobby I get paid to do.

    That attitude toward your work is excellent, finishing a day of work feeling forfilled and excited for the next working day means you always put your greatest effort into it! Although too much love for a career can fade other parts of your life that are important? It can, to an extend, push away love/family. I’m not at all saying that that is happening to you, just a word of advice.

    Oh – I am afraid I’ve been there in the past but I hope I’ve learned my lesson. That’s one reason why I took my boyhood hobby again and started collecting butterflies (although only through Ebay – I don’t collect in the wild, although I do breed some species every year).
