Question: Do you think that we will ever be able to harness the power of neutrinos ( they are faster than the speed of light, and are so small that they can pass through atoms)?

  Recently, the people who measure neutrinos found a mistake in their experiment which probably shows that neutrinos don’t travel faster than light. They need to re-check it but most people think this mistake explains the measurement.
  
  It was all to do with a wobbly cable…. We all make mistakes!
  
  Neutrinos have very very little mass… so although they travel very quickly, they don’t actually have much energy. Imagine hitting someone really fast with a feather – you wouldn’t transfer much energy to them. Also they don’t interact with other matter in a normal way so collecting their energy would be really hard

  When the news about faster-than-light neutrinos came out I heard a joke which went like this:
  
  “The neutrinos have just arrived”
  “OK – I’m sending the neutrinos now” 🙂
