I’m pretty sure it’s the plasma inside the JET fusion experiment in Culham near Oxford – that get’s up to 100 million degrees – 10 times hotter than the centre of the Sun …
you have to be careful about how you define temperature though … though are some things that might have more energy but they aren’t in what we call ‘equilibrium’

Scientists have suggested that there is an inner core of solid metal about 2575 kilometres in diameter. This lies right inside the earth, beyond the crust which is the first 30-50 km, and the mantle which is thenext 2900km. It has been suggested that this core is at a temperature greater than 5000°C, based on the melting point of iron at a specific pressure…… That’s not as hot as plasma (by far), but it’s still pretty HOT!!
