For me – it is just the “force” or capacity to do the things we want to or need to do. If I want to go ride my bike I might eat a banana or a bowl of pasta so my muscles have energy to pedal (chemical energy to kinetic energy). Likewise, if I want to be warm I’ll put on a jumper (manufactured using energy and materials) or I may need to turn on the heating in my home (it all takes energy).

Energy is the fuel or force that allow something or us to do a specific task … For example heat to keep warm or cook. Proteins, calcium and other vitamins give us energy to walk, run and do sports. So It is essential for our everyday life and we do need to be careful about using it and not waste it 🙂

I think energy is survival. People who live in countries which don’t have easy access to energy usually have shorter, less healthy lives. That’s why we need to work hard to make clean energy available across the world. Using more and more energy isn’t good though – you only need so much to have a happy, healthy life.

Energy is the basic driving force behind everything. It holds matter together and causes it to react. In a “human” way, energy can mean vitality so we say that somebody is “energetic” if they are always busy. We also apply this term to things like electrons.
