      Biomass is basically plants that we burn. It can be wood, or something a bit like corn … there are lots of different kinds.

      In some ways it is better than coal or oil because it is cleaner to burn (less carbon dioxide) … but you need lots of land to grow it and that land could be used to grow food. People argue about whether it is worth using biomass.
