  Durham is a really nice old city. It has a big cathedral, a castle and lots of cobbled streets. It’s split into colleges, so in your 1st year you live in a college (one of the colleges is actually inside the castle).
  
  It’s quite a small place so you often see people you know walking around, but it can sometimes be a bit quiet. If you want more stuff to do, you can go to Newcastle on the train. It only takes 15 minutes and there’s lots to do there 🙂
