• Question: What would you say is the greatest issue in our society when it comes to wasting energy?

      I would say that the greatest issue is People!! We need to adapt our lives to a low carbon way of living – this means changing our buying habits, our living habits, our eating habits and our travelling habits. The problem is that many people don’t like change, and many of them don’t see why they should…..

    Wasted energy is the real problem in the UK. Did you know that if we had given everybody free, high quality, insulation in their homes (attic, walls and double glazing) during the past 40 years, that would have achieved more than any energy saving exercise this country has ever tried. The trouble is that rolls of fibre-glass aren’t sexy and don’t write political manifestos. Right – I’m getting off my soap box now…………
