• Question: You say you like heating up to 10 million degrees. 1. Are you talking about heating plasma or something else? and 2. Which equipment do you use for heating up to such high temperatures and how does it not get damaged? And last one, 3. Is it degrees celcius or degrees fahrenheit?

Hi.. It is the plasma that we heat and we use 3 main methods to get the temperature nice and hot! :

      1. The plasma can conduct electricity, like a copper wire. When you put an electrical current through a wire, it gets hot. The same is true for a plasma!

      2. We can send microwaves into the plasma, a lot like the microwaves in your microwave oven at home!

      3. We can fire a high energy beam of particles into the plasma. As these particles collide with the particles inside the reactor, they transfer there energy and heat the plasma particles up.

The temperature is usually in celcius… its a very large number either way – 1 million degrees celcius is about 1.8 million degrees farenheit

      Hope that answers your question!

      🙂
